COVID19 Service Update - Tuesday 31 March
In line with current government guidelines we have now made the following changes to our processes:
Our local Post Office has recently closed. To reduce pressure on the remaining Post Office so it can continue to offer essential services to the community, we have decided to dispatch all orders using using our local sorting office instead. Owing to its opening hours, any orders received after 9am will now be dispatched the following working day. Because the sorting office is around the corner from our studio and currently very quiet, we will continue to dispatch daily for now, but this will be reviewed on a weekly basis. All our postage is prepaid so we leave the bags at the door for them so it's already no contact.
Whilst the option still appears in the shopping cart, we can not currently offer a delayed postage (nominated day) option. It's incredibly difficult to estimate arrival dates currently and so to avoid the risk of a parcel arriving later than expected, all orders received will be dispatched the next working day if ordered after 9am.
Free Shipping Upgrades
To make sure your orders reach you and your loved ones as quickly as possible we are upgrading all orders to the RoyalMail24 (1st Class) service free of charge. RoyalMail are prioritising Special Delivery and 1st class items and in the majority of areas, items still seem to be arriving the next day or the following day. However, we have had some feedback that it may take a little longer in some areas so please allow four working days for deliveries. We ask and thank you for your patience during this challenging time. If your order has not been received after five working days of the expected date, please get in touch via email@example.com
Special Delivery Services
Special Delivery Services are no longer guaranteed by 1pm. RoyalMail have announced that as of Thursday 19 March they will no longer be guaranteeing delivery by 1pm on Special Delivery services. Instead they will aim to deliver by the end of the day. They have also temporarily removed the option for Saturday Guaranteed deliveries. They will however continue to prioritise Special Delivery parcels. Special Delivery is still offered as an Express Service but we will no longer be able to offer the Saturday Guaranteed service during this time.
We have been packing all orders using biodegradable gloves since social distancing was introduced and will continue to do so. We continue to sanitise packing areas and hands throughout the day. All social distancing guidelines are being adhered to strictly.
Whilst we will continue to monitor the situation, we thank you for your continued patience and understanding during what is currently a very challenging and changeable period.
Normal Delivery Costs and Timelines
We now offer four delivery options:
- Free Standard Delivery is offered on all orders being delivered to the UK Mainland and Northern Ireland. Items will be posted by Royal Mail 48 service which takes 2-3 working days for delivery.
- Express Delivery, if selected, is charged at £2.50 and your order will be sent by Royal Mail 24 service, which takes 1-2 working days for delivery.
- Next Day Delivery, if selected, is charged at £6.00 and your order will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm service, which will arrive the next working day Monday to Friday (when ordered before 1pm). Please note, if using this service a signature will be required by the postman on delivery.
- Next Day Delivery Saturday, if selected, is charged at £9.00 and your order will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery Saturday Guaranteed service, which will arrive the next day including Saturdays (when ordered before 1pm on Friday). Please note, choosing Special Delivery without the Saturday Guarantee may mean your order is not delivered until the following Monday. A signature will be required by the postman on delivery.
Orders received after 11am (UK time) will be posted the next working day (Mon-Fri).
We do our absolute best to make sure it arrives on your preferred date, but as we rely on Royal Mail to deliver our parcels, we cannot 100% guarantee it will arrive on the indicated date.
Can I request the parcel arrives at a later date?
Absolutely! We've just added a "preferred delivery date" request to the shopping cart page, so you can indicate your preferred delivery date with your order. Your order will be posted out 3 working days prior to the preferred delivery date using the RoyalMail 48 Service. Royal Mail 48 takes 2-3 working days to arrive so we also add an extra "Do not open until..." note on the outside of the postal sleeve, just to make sure the surprise isn't ruined in case it arrives a day early!
If your preferred delivery date is in less than 3 working days, we advise you use the Express Delivery Option or Special Delivery to make sure your gift arrives in time. Free Standard Delivery normally takes 2-3 working days to be delivered. Please note, parcels will only be sent via Express (RoyalMail24) or Next Day (Special Delivery) where the Express or Next Day options are selected at checkout and purchased.
If no preferred delivery date is indicated with your order, we'll just pop your order in the post ASAP.

Need a gift that will fit straight through the letterbox?
Need a letterbox friendly gift? No problem! Our Live the Little Things Box, Balance Box, Thoughts Box, Man Box and Little Bath Time Rituals Boxes are perfectly sized to pop straight through the recipient's letterbox (approx 27cm x17cm x 3cm) - if a box is letterbox friendly it will state this in the product description. No need for anybody to be home to accept the delivery.
Our larger boxes measure 27cm x 17cm x 5cm.
Incorrect Delivery Addresses
If you have made an error in the shipping address, please get in touch with us straight away. We can make changes before the gift has been dispatched. After dispatch we cannot make any changes to the address or track the item. We cannot accept responsibility for an undelivered or lost item caused by an error in the shipping address.
More than one gift to send?
All our gift boxes are designed to be posted separately. If you'd like to order more than one gift box and they are shipping to the same address, please check out as normal and we'll provide blank greetings cards in each box for you to add your own message. If they are going to separate addresses, please check-out separately - we want to make sure the correct item is sent to the correct address!
How will my gift be packaged?
We wanted the unboxing experience to be part of the gift experience itself, so we take great care in packing our gifts and make them look as pretty as possible!
First we put recycled tissue paper and cotton ribbon in the box, the contents are carefully arranged and packed in with recycled shredded paper to protect them and make sure they arrive looking perfect. We add little touches like dried rose buds or eucalyptus leaves to the box, and add a notecard that lists the contents of the box. The tissue paper is sealed, the ribbon tied into a bow and the greetings card with your personalised message added. The box is closed and then we add a postal sleeve around the box which protects the main box.
All the postage labels are added to the postal sleeve, meaning if you wanted to give the box to the recipient rather than having it posted to them, you just need to remove the postal sleeve and it's ready to go!
